With our new treatment Plexr Shower hitting our evolving list of services let’s breakdown what the difference is between Plexr shower and traditional microneedling. Microneedling has been around for quite some time now, being an effective treatment using mechanical injury to stimulate a healing response that will create new collagen production. Microneedling is effective at treating scaring, pigmentation, fine lines and overall skin rejuvenation. With mechanical injury comes inflammation which typically takes 24-48 hours of downtime for the skin to heal itself. This is one of the major differences between the two treatments is it’s delivery of micro-injury.

Plexr Shower uses plasma-based energy to create tiny micro channels in the skin that is very tolerable and for most patients requires no freezing prior to treatment. These micro “plexr dots” that are not visible to the naked eye allow product to absorb much more effectively into the skin than traditional microneedling. Redness is going away much faster as well and we are seeing more of a lifting effect due to the non-ablative effects of Plexr shower. There are different serums/products that can be applied on the skin based on client’s area of concern.
